Happy; 2

NOTE:  i wrote this post yesterday and didnt post it because i thought it cuts too close to the bone of my real life relationships where this Home is sort of make believe.  But today it all seems to fit together and i feel better about publishing this reflection about my oldest, dearest friend who i was very lucky to be able to connect with.

Today i talked with an old friend i hadnt heard from in fifteen years.   It was such a pleasure, even though, or maybe even because her life has tanked in recent years even worse than mine.  She is my roommate from the last two years at Wayland School.  I wont share her story because its hers and not mine to share, but i pray she is on the road to recovery and thank God shes ALIVE.  She is that rare thing, a lifelong friend.  That brought my stay here out if the toilet.  I was happy to pass her regards along to my mother and father.   It truly helped.  And i see the negative person ive been here.
