I used to love a Dan Fogelburg song from the late 70’s, “Part of the Plan.”

That was the 70s when I was away at a boarding school on an Appalachian mountaintop. For very many reasons I needed to be there but it was PAINFUL. I was desperate all of the time. Extremely desperate.

We have a serious problem with communication in this family. Mom set me free from blame before she passed. But there’s still such a tangled web here.
