word to the wise

the saying that went around Harvard in the early 80’s that “military intelligence is an oxymoron” is a nonsequitor.

I actually would have rather joined the army but I wasn’t fii. I was in a terrible bind at home after 4 years at boarding school and college was the only option.

Someone important to me said, “you will never regret not going to Princeton (my mother wanted me to go there) but you would always regret not going to Harvard.”

so in the end it cones down to this: I have beaten atrophy.

for months I’ve been stumbling and almost tripping–every time the Lord picks me back up again in the weirdest ways.

my life was sedentary, starting with childhood reading.

recently I have rediscovered the joy of motility,

I completely lost it in Florida. I was so ill when I came back up here to PA. Now i am in a better place and it’s coming bsck better than it was.

I am just loving it where I am and my son is also in a very good place.

Here are some pics of what I have been up to in the cottage.

the kitchen work table we had to build, but it felt good.

the dining set was delivered and assembled with white glove treatment.
