I love you, My Son

I woke up and tried to find you in my head and you don’t appear to be here.

I am working on posts about WWII in Japan. Now I know why people don’t talk about it. I just never considered how bad it was. Words I read in history textbooks in high school did not convey what actually happened before, during, and after the blasts. I am so sorry for those many people who died but that’s not all of it because in a war, people die. Obviously it is the way that they died, not the ones that were gone in seconds in the two massive blasts, but the ones who lingered in agony as the fallout progressed. And the ones, farther and farther away who were returned to their loved ones…
