I will just move along (from my last post).
What I see, as I have said, is that our present quandaries began with the Industrial Revolution.
I said it in pencil on paper and don’t know what happened to it. About 4 pages.
It turned into an ethos called “Progress” and I remember thinking, “Why?” Keep improving, or growing, for what reason?
And I can imagine that that idea would be upsetting but I have the answer. Telecommunication lives or dies but finding justification for itself and everything that led up to it. The Population Essay by Malthus showed us there would soon be too many people and not enough food and it certainly panicked me as a young woman. And I see evidence of this. Meat doesn’t taste as good any more. You see the hoards of cattle out west and the trucks carrying them on the highway and they are like the little white feeding mice we feed to pet snakes. Living but lifeless.
So, the answer would be that we are preparing to go out into outer space. It started with hi tech. and continues to build. We won’t be eating the same things. We will be changing, ourselves. “You can’t go back home.” How many thousands of years will this take? Or are we already there?
This is the most polite and gentle interpretation I can give to my recent experience since I spotted the ALIEN here in my own home around this time last year (or was it earlier)? I have remained a little disoriented). And all the things that I have said about it.
NASA wasn’t interested.
So. I come here.
