Similar to the buried collector, my father’s invention, and his further work on the IC that “shrunk” the IC, paving the way for the PC, the information highway and, ultimately, the cell phone! After all, he was working for AT&T Bell Telephone Laboratories (now Lucent).

He got a dollar for the patent.

He was moved here in the anti-trust lawsuit in the 80’s and lost his identity, as I did.

My program went to Bolt, Beranek & Newman, in Belmont, MA, a prominent force in the development of the internet; because both of my section leaders from Nat Sci 11, the course for which I wrote the program, went to work there.

I applied for a job, but I was too sick to work. They had asked me to bring a copy 9f the program and they took it away for 10 minutes and then I was dismissed.

i got a one-line rejection letter a week later.

I got a job elsewhere as a computer programmer for 10 months but I was so bad that the company failed through my presence there; next thing I knew I was at Wernersville State Hospital not knowing who I was.

I had wanted to stay in Boston.
