I was so ignorant about Black culture in Florida.

I thought I struck a good note in race wars in Germantown, MD in the 90’s. But couldn’t get it confirmed or denied. I took it to Florida and was not received for it there.

I just didn’t understand. I thought that the race situation was more advanced because of how people put themselves forward and the open protest. Now I realize that it was like how homeless people themselves out into the street to avoid the dangerous alleys. Those people were living in terror!

Here I have been desperately trying to figure the race situation in order to know how to get by.

I realize now that I was NOT a help to Blacks in the South as I thought. Mr. Obama oughtn’t to have done to me what he did; but it did teach me a lesson about my ignorance in race matters. People need to know.
