he said stop proselytizing to me. Christians are odious for how they won’t leave you alone when you have no interest in their faith. Hundreds of times he has said this to me in my life. So, several years ago I said, in an off- hand way, you can’t stop a Christian from proselitizing. It is a basic principle of the faith. No matter how many tines you stop me I’ ll come back again. The only thing you could do is kill me and make me a martyr. What he doesn’t get is that you can’t make a martyr of a person against their will. I am not a Saint.. I have no such vocation. I just try to toe the line because of the horrific things I did in relationships in my life as Lynne-the-mole-wart-person. So I don’t go-to HELL!
in the confusion of old age this was a conundrum for him that he couldn’t resolve and it became a game with unreal proportions.

I think you may have misunderstood the mission. Jesus said to the disciples “whosoever house doesn’t receive you, brush the dust from your feet” and move on. There is no need nor is there a command of Christ to keep on pressing people once they have expressed their disinterest in what you have to say. Move on. It respects their freedom and choice to not believe or even not hear what you’re saying. Just move on. There is no need or command to be a pest or jerk. Just move on and pray for them that God would open rheir heart and their eyes and their ears to want to hear the gospel.
